Please Join Our Yearlong Vigil:
Mettā for Myanmar, the Golden Land
Long before the tour buses, Myanmar was mecca to those seeking the teachings of the Buddha, passed down the centuries by a robust tradition of teaching and practice. Yogis found their way to the Golden Land’s monasteries through word of mouth before the Internet became ubiquitous. The people of Myanmar have given the world so much. Right now every person in Myanmar is suffering, physically and spiritually. We grieve for them.
Many prominent teachers have come together to lead a monthly mettā vigil so people all over the world can express gratitude, wish for wellbeing for everyone in Myanmar and that all beings everywhere are peaceful, healthy and free.
Please join our monthly vigil to show up for the people of Myanmar and show them we care about them, that they are in our thoughts. They need it and greatly appreciate it.

A Note About Mettā
Mettā is a Pali word meaning an attitude of benevolence and good will toward all beings. At our vigils a noted teacher will lead us, perhaps in Mettā service expressing lovingkindness or in a different type of practice. You don’t need any prior experience with Buddhism or meditation to participate. Just come.
